ICQ
I was just checking my email today and had a quick memory that made me smile. When Jim first got his computer ICQ was the hot ticket for instant messaging and he spent a lot of time on there making it part of his daily routine. There was a time when for one reason or another he was "grounded". His mom decided that by taking the mouse to work with her Jimmy wouldn't be able to use the computer or get on ICQ but...she was wrong. Jim figured out how to get around that little inconvenience with shift and tab keys! When he went to school in Pittsburgh and moved in with Andy and Hiro he still had ICQ and it was just nice to see when he was "online" and to be able to shoot him a quick little "Hi, hon...how are you doing? I love you!" and to know that no matter how busy he was or who he was messaging I would always get a response. ICQ graduated to cell phones and text messages so the communication lines were always there. I still send little messages to Jim in my own way and I know that he's getting them and maybe even sending them back in the form of a flower or a feather. Hugs & kisses, J!
