Carpe Diem...

So, this is how it is!

You take what you are given
and simply make the very best you can of it...
you realize that each day is a gift
and "that" particular day has a gift for you...
just open your eyes and heart!
I've come to do this every single day...

If I didn't, I would be heartbroken
and totally lost!
I miss my Jim...beyond any imagination...
but with absolute faith and an open heart
I see him everywhere!
He is in his brothers,
In my little Teah's memories...
In my tiny Anna Rosa's eyes...
And in my new little angel
who carries his uncles' names...
Baby James Franco!

How can I be sad? How can I not be grateful?
It is Mother's Day!
And I have my children!
Frank and Gabe have given me
these little darlings!
and flowers and gifts as well!
I will always be remembered by them!

And yet Jimmy is ever present!
The lilac bush near our back door
has never bloomed in the twenty-odd years
that it has been there!
But this week it bloomed!

In time for Mother's Day!

That little bouquet of lilacs reminds me
to say thank you for even the smallest of gifts!

The Carpe Diem flags at Mercyhurst on Tuesday
when little Jimmy asked for a ride to hockey!

That first song on the radio this morning...
and the next song that came on?
Wow!!
I laughed and remembered the most incredible
memory of that song and my five year old Jimmy!
A story told many times!

So...this is how it is...

Sad? Yes...
Unbearable? Almost...

Just have faith
be grateful
remember to say thank you
and seize the day!

So thank you Jim!
For being one of my life's treasures
and allowing me to be your Mom!
I Love You my Sweetheart!
