Note the red yarn with styrofoam....18 " of precious garland! One of Jimmy's christmas gifts to me from pre-school! Posted by PicasaOne of his nicknames was Me-Me when he was tiny. When I would give something to his brothers, he would stretch out his little arm and open his hand and say "Me?... Me?" And so I called him "Me-Me" or "Meem"for years. Even in 5th grade he would answer to "Me" when I would ask him something. I remember an Italian friend from Meadville commenting that Me (Mi) was a term of endearment for my son in Italian.

Jimmy's ornaments...2005

Rather than put all of our family ornaments on the tree (there are SO many) I chose to put up a real tree with only the decorations and ornaments collected over the past 23 years for Jim! Hand made in pre-school or collected on vacations, they all tell a sweet story about one very special person's life...his interests...his adventures...his travels and his love! This tree's for Jim! Jim's Memory Tree Christmas 2005

It's Christmas and we have two trees this year...which is not unusual. This tree is a live blue spruce and is decorated with gold and white lights as well as gold hearts and stars. Along with some victorian angels there are two wonderful photos of Jimmy and 23 cream and pink roses with babies' breath...one for each precious year that we had Jimmy with us! Over the years I have collected snowbabies...skating...skiing...boarding. Jackie (Leah's mom) recently gave me an angel snowbaby...who just got his wings! He is right where he belongs... atop the tree. Of course, there happened to be one special heart I bought right after Christmas last January and it looks great by the "J" I bought this past week. Next year this tree will be outside... decked out in blue lights and an array of snacks for our feathered friends! Merry Christmas Jim! We love you! Posted by Picasa

Merry Christmas

Sha Sha always had a million ornaments on her tree, and a couple years she had two or three Christmas trees at one time! So I went out looking to get Jimmy his own ornament this year for my tree. Then Jared suggested that Jimmy should be the angel on top of the tree. He said he was going to do that as a suprise, but figured it would make me cry. (That's probably a good observation). But after I thought about it, Jimmy should be my Christmas Angel! We were going to tape his picture to the angel, but for now he's just chillin at the top of the tree. And when I almost done decorating the tree, one of the little bells on the tree rang, and I immediately thought "Teacher says everytime a bell rings and angel gets his wings." So good boy Jimmy I hope you got your wings! WE LOVE YOU!!!!!
