Clouds & silver linings

My Clouds:
"The news"
No wind chimes, no whispers, no dreams, no lingering scents.
Missing your 23rd birthday when you were home.
No holding your face in my hands & telling you I love you.

My Silver Linings:
MEMORIES!!!
Laying on our tummies on the living room floor looking at pictures in encyclopedias.
Taking you to Zoo Boo in Erie at Halloween (your 1st zoo trip!)...just the two of us.
Surprise phone calls from you asking me to "name that song" or "who sang that?".
Remembering our phone calls..where I was and what we talked about.
The nature excursions with you & Gabe out a Gramma & Papa's house...getting dirty & poking things with sticks :).
Seeing your face when you got your first bicycle for Christmas.
Helping you with your recipes for your senior project & you giving me your Mojito recipe!
Knowing that you loved me no matter what...no doubts...always knowing!!!
Carrying you as a newborn down the hall at the mall where I worked and feeling SO PROUD!
Seeing you play hockey and still feeling SO PROUD!
All the cards with special notes and drawing that I still have.
Twenty two birthdays complete with candles, cakes and kisses.

I will stop my list now since I could go on listing my silver linings forever. You lit my life in ways that I can't explain! I thank God for allowing me to be your "Ant" and I thank you for being you!!

Can You Imagineā€¦.

Can You Imagineā€¦.

"God's Littlest Angels"

These dear little ones belong to God's Littlest Angels, an orphanage in Haiti.

You are already aware of their needs as well as the devastation that has fallen on their tiny country.

One of Jimmy's friends has a close association with this orphanage. Though Nicole is currently working on her Master's in nursing in Pittsburgh, her heart and passion is with the children living in this orphanage. I was amazed and happy to hear her stories and see the photos of the little ones after she would return to the USA following her missions in Haiti. She gives her heart to do God's work. I was fortunate to speak to her this week and was relieved to know she was safe and out of harm's way. I was not at all surprised to learn this morning that Nicole will be leaving tomorrow for Haiti and God's Littlest Angels!

I am posting this on Jim's site in hope that anyone who reads his posts or is simply "blogging by" might open the above link to the orphanage. There are many ways to help. They are accepting all items, including supplies for the babies and children as well as anything else you can send...After reading the daily posts from their site, you will learn that they will also be distributing donations and supplies to others in need...and there are many!

Donations and supplies will be shipped from their Headquarters in Colorado Springs:

God's Littlest Angels
2085 Crystal River Dr.
Colorado Springs, CO 80915

Financial donations for earthquake relief can be sent to the above address, or via Paypal on the web site http://www.glahaiti.org/, (Canadian donors should use the Canadian Paypal button at www.glacanada.ca) or through the following link: http://godslittlestangelsinhaiti.org/ and click the "Chip in" button.

After reading the posts on their website, I saw where their goal was "1000 x 1000"
1000 people each raising $1000!

My hope is that you might be able to donate even the smallest amount...
It will all add up and the children will have their prayers answered!

Please visit the above link Can you Imagine as well as their web site.

Thank you so much...
Barbara
