You may not remember the time

you let me go first.
Or the time you dropped back
to tell me it wasn't that far to go.
Or the time you waited at the crossroads
for me to catch up.
You may not remember any of those,
but I do
& this is what I have to say to you:

Upon reading today's Story People...

I
saw
you as
a little boy

pulling too far
ahead in the mall
or on the street and

again felt the fear that
I might possibly lose you.

"Home for the holidays..."
"Home is where the heart is..."
"I'll be home for Christmas..."

Again...it is that time of the year.

I miss you...we all miss you so much!

You remain in our lives...You're in our hearts,

in our thoughts, and in our fondest memories.
You are so often the highlight of the best stories.
