the color blue...
This morning there was a mass for Jim at St. James church in Lake Placid...simply a beautiful church and so very near the site where Jimmy crossed into heaven. I know it was a special and perfect mass. This morning I released four blue balloon into the sky. One for each of the years Jim's been away. The very moment I released them they were gone! Barely a chance to get a picture...When Leah Catherine was married in October of 2007, her plans were changed somewhat. Jim had always promised to be her Man of Honor and she would be his Best Maid. Tradition is important and Leah had something old...something new...something borrowed and something "blue". Her Jim Jim was remembered through the color blue. How perfect! Her flowers...the roses...the blue butterfly! All so perfectly in order for these two little life long friends. So, now I look at the blue skies...butterflies...even little JJ's eyes...all blue! Will I ever use another color on his blog? (another thank you Leah!) Maybe not...
This is a sweet picture of Jim...just being "Jim".
I am sure there is a story to be told. I know he made the t-shirt in the "Sunday-Trucker" days. He made "I'M A GOOD KISSER" to wear when he was a guest bar tender for charity. I hope it worked! It ended up in Scott Long's backpack when he went on a season of "Big Brother". I hope he still has it!
So here is my little story...
I woke up to the radio this morning... (mind you, this is a memorable morning). I don't want to always and ever be sad. That is not what Jim would want or ever expect from any one.
I remember Jimmy asking me to listen to certain songs he liked... the lyrics...the tune... and they often went in one ear and out the other.
So...I woke up to a catchy little tune that sounded like a "Jim" song and I can't believe I found it on youtube with a two word search! I heard this one other time and it made me think of Jimmy even then... Just click on the title (green arrow) above and enjoy Jason Mraz' sweet voice and music! It made me smile...
I have no words...only memories and they fill my head and heart to overflowing. I love you always and forever, sweetheart!!! I'm sending much love in an upward direction today! Hugs and big old "ant kisses" are headed your way.....N.T.
I will only say say how much I love you. How much we all dearly love you.
I love you Jim and I miss you.
I thought about what to write and there is so much to say, but tonight what I have to say is for you and you already know what is in my heart.
We were blessed to have you in our lives Jim... For that, I thank God each and every day! Keep shining down on us my youngest son... little brother... nephew... uncle... cousin... dear friend... You truly left your mark on all of our hearts!
We love you!!
