The Heart Of Life...

"The Heart Of Life"

I hate to see you cry
Lying there in that position
There's things you need to hear
So turn off your tears and listen

Pain throws your heart to the ground
Love turns the whole thing around
No, it won't all go the way it should
But I know the heart of life is good

You know it's nothing new
Bad news never had good timing
But then, the circle of your friends
will defend the silver lining

Pain throws your heart to the ground
Love turns the whole thing around
No, it won't all go the way it should
But I know the heart of life is good

Pain throws your heart to the ground
Love turns the whole thing around
Fear is a friend who's misunderstood
But I know the heart of life is good

I know it's good...

John Mayer

This past Saturday I had a surprise visit with Jenny, one of Jim's dear friends! Coffee, chocolate covered pretzels and good conversation was only the half of it. We spoke of Jimmy and Darrin and know in our hearts that they are SO fine where they are and that they are still with each and every one of us...friends and family alike! Jenny also knows the hugs will still be there! She shared a beautiful song that D listened to all the time! After hearing it myself, it became an instant favorite! My heart is touched and it certainly is a message from the boys to enjoy our life! It is good! Thank you Jenny!

Nags Head...1998

I really love this photo of Jim on the beach in Nags Head. MaryBeth Maxeiner and I took Andy and Jim on vacation to the Outer Banks that summer in '98 and they did have a wonderful time. Jimmy was sixteen and begged me to give them the van to go cruising. I wish I would have said okay...

Friends...

J & D....

Jimmy and Darrin...

Tonight I wanted to send balloons aloft as a memorial to my Jim on the eve of his 2nd year in Heaven. Last March 2nd, I was on the Gulf of Mexico on a warm beach under a full moon in Bonita Springs. This year, I was home, with chilling temperatures, drifts of snow and another full moon. Tonight, I sent a brightly colored, "smiling" star shaped balloon attached to two others which were, of course...red and black. For our Bulldogs!
