Uncle Mark and Jim...on Vail!
Here we are on our visit to Colorado in 1999! Uncle Mark made sure Jim had the very best time! Not only did they snowboard on Vail but we ate at the finest little Italian restaurant! Garlic everywhere...and Jim loved it. I have great memories of him on that trip! I wanted a little Rocky Mountain of my own to bring home and Jim found the most perfect rock! We were on our way to Aspen and stopped at the site of the camp where our troops had once trained to fight in the Italian Alps. There, in this huge expanse at the base of the mountain, was my "Rock"! We never did get to Aspen that day! Though it was mid-April, an avalanche was still blocking the roadway...

Saturday Night

Saturday night here out in Colorado and I thought that I would make my contribution to Jimmy's blog. I think about Jimmy quite a bit. To say I miss him is an understatement. It is almost surreal that he has passed. One of my favorite memories was when Jimmy and Barb came out to visit me in Colorado. We had such a blast! We went to Winterpark and I was a bit concerned that Jimmy hadn't snowboarded in such a difficult place (Mt. Pleasant doesn't quite compare!). True to form, he grabbed his board and hit the slopes without hesitation. Exactly how he approached just about everything in his life, full-force and determined. We had a blast and here is a picture of that time. I know he is well now, just sucks that we don't get to share him in person.
